ICTT receives the largest ever container vessel to call at any South Indian Ports The largest ever container vessel to call at any South Indian Ports - Maersk Sembawang - berthed at the International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT), Vallarpadam, on 21st July 2011. The Singaporean flagged vessel has a length of 319 metres and a capacity of 6478 TEUs. The vessel arrived from Egypt and left for China on 22 July 2011 after handling 1698 TEUs. It is expected that more mainline mega size container vessels will call at the ICTT in the coming months. |
