| Tenders are invited for the following works.
Note: 1. The class and category of registration specified are as per the registration in Cochin Port Trust. 2. For works for which class and category of registration is specified, the tender documents will also be issued to those who have applied for registration with Port Trust. However, the tender submitted by such tenderers will be opened only if they are found eligible for registration against the relevant class mentioned above based on the documentary evidence furnished by them. 3. In the case of tender under Sl. No: 2- ‘Development of yard for full fledged Truck Terminal at South end of W/Island- Package II’, the tender document will be issued to all parties remitting the cost of tender forms. However, tenders received will be considered only if they meet the eligibility criteria specified in the tender document which are as detailed below: The work of “Development of yard for full fledged truck terminal is intended to execute under two packages, viz: Package I under tender No.T16/ T-1453/2008-C covering the area between secondary drain and old NH and Package II under tender No. T16/ T-1454/2008-C covering the area south of the secondary drain. Tenderers are allowed to quote for Package I or Package II or both the packages. Selection criteria for qualifying the tenderers for awarding the contract for works under Package I or Package II or Package I & II are as below: Case A. For the package I under tender No.T16/T-1453/2008-C The tenderer should have Class ”A” registration under Non Marine category in Cochin Port. The tender documents will also be issued to those who have applied for registration with the Port Trust. However, the tender submitted by such tenderers will be opened only if they are found eligible for Class A registration under Non Marine category. Case B. For Package II under tender No.T16/T-1454/2008-C (i)
Experience : The tenderer shall have main experience and (a)
Main experience : Three
civil construction works, each costing not less than Rs.36.42 lakhs
during the preceding seven years ending on 30th June, 2008;
(b) Additional experience Three
road/pavement works involving bituminous surfacing, each costing not less
than Rs. 30.20 lakhs
during the preceding seven years ending on 30th June, 2008 iii) Financial capability for executing the work The tenderer shall furnish Financial capability certificate from his bankers/financial institutions, to the effect that the tenderer is financially sound and has sufficient resources for furnishing the security deposit/retention money, as provided in the bid document and also for executing the work as per schedule by receiving payment as per the payment schedule detailed in the bid document as per Annexure-II. Case C. For Package I & II under tender No.T16/T-1453/2008-C and No.T16/T-1454/2008-C, respectively. i)
Experience : The tenderer shall have main experience and (a) Main experience: The tenderer should have successfully completed at least Three
civil construction works, each costing not less than Rs. 58.93
lakhs
during the preceding seven years ending on 30th June 2008;
(b) Additional experience Three
road/pavement works involving bituminous surfacing, each costing not less
than Rs.47.42 lakhs during the preceding seven years ending on 30th June, 2008 ii) Average Annual Financial Turnover of the tenderer during the last three financial years ending on 31st March 2008, shall not be less than Rs.47.14 lakhs. iii) Financial capability for executing the work The
tenderer shall furnish Financial capability certificate from his bankers/financial
institutions, to the effect that the tenderer is financially sound and
has sufficient resources for furnishing the security deposit/retention
money, as provided in the bid document and also for executing the work
as per schedule by receiving payment as per the payment schedule detailed
in the bid document as per Annexure-II. (1) In case a work meets requirement of both Main & Additional experience, it shall be reckoned against both cases. (2) The tenderer shall produce certified copies of experience certificates of each work issued by the owner / the responsible officers under whom he has executed such contracts. In case of comprehensive work, the split up cost of Road /pavement work shall be certified by the owner / the responsible officers, in case the tenderer relying on the cost of the components of road/pavement work executed by him, for meeting the qualification against additional experience. (3) Following enhancement factors will be used for the costs of works executed for bringing the financial figures to a common base value in respect of the works completed in past years. 4. Regarding tender under Sl. No.9 the tender document will be issued only to those who have produced evidence of experience certificates of similar works issued by the responsible officers under whom he has executed such contracts. 5. Tender documents and other details can be had from the office of the Chief Engineer for Sl. Nos. 1 to 8 and from the office of the Exe. Engineer (CM I) for Sl. No.9 during working hours in the period noted above on production of a receipt issued by the Financial Adviser and Chief Accounts Officer, Cochin Port Trust or by demand draft from any Scheduled bank in India drawn in favour of “FA&CAO, Cochin Port Trust” towards payment of the cost of tender document which sum, under no circumstances will be refunded. 6. Those who require tender documents by post have to pay an extra sum of Rs.150/- towards postal charges. Port will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit. 7. Tender document will also be available in our website (www.cochin port.com) or www.tenders.gov.in which can be downloaded for submission along with the cost of document as specified above. 8.
The General Conditions of Contract (GCC) which forms part of tender document
has to be purchased separately by the unregistered contractors at an amount
of Rs.200/- per copy. The GCC will also be available in the website of
Cochin Port (www.cochin port.com-Tenders) which can be downloaded.
